Library News: We are in our 3rd week of the summer reading program and it is going pretty well, there has been a good turnout and we have even seen some new children in the library, this is wonderful, keep it up kids. I tried something a little different this year and asked for some donations from businesses in Austin and I am happy to say that we had a very good response. I would like to take this time to thank each of those businesses: Godfather's pizza, Dairy Queen, Hy-Vee, McDonalds and Hormel. And a thank you to Michael's in Rochester for giving us a discount on canvas bags. The kids have been able to come into the library and decorate their own canvas bag in the hope that they will bring those with them each time they come to the library. I would also like to personally thank the Austin library for the donation of a very nice table, it has come in quite handy for the bag decorating project. We have purchased a few new books for the library so please stop in so you can check them out, we have James Patterson, John Sanford & Janet Evanovich to name a few.
